To the Maggot Allegiance Worldwide:
It's been a very hectic and gruelling 2 years plus since the release of Vol. 3:
(The Subliminal Verses), but also the most overly gratifying 2 years in the
entire history of Slipknot. We've been to 20 different countries in 34 months
playing over 230 shows!. We've met some amazing people and visited countries
that most bands never go to. It's all because of you, the maggots, the most
dedicated fans on the planet. You have stepped up beyond the call of duty and
made all the naysayers that tried to write this band off eat their words.
In celebration we have produced and compiled a live record titled 9.0:Live,
documenting the entire touring cycle. We're positive you will more than pleased
with the results. In addition, instead of stopping the tour cycle after our
recent tour of South America, we wanted to do one more run of America, our
homeland in celebration of of the Live Album. For many of the shows we're going
to strip it back down and do this for you in intimate venues. Let's tear it up
just like when we started at the beginning of the touring cycle when we played
the Jager tour. We will be seeing you in a few days, this is our last tour
until the next record, yes the NEXT record. Don't believe the rumours.
